Hurray For Florida
Florida's highways will be extra busy during the next month or so when the druggies and deadbeats start heading out of Florida. Florida is the first State to require drug testing in order to receive welfare benefits.
In signing the new law, Florida's Gov. Rick Scott said that Floridians on welfare better make sure they are drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances will not be eligible for the funds for a year and until they successfully undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three consecutive years.
Naturally, many people are crying that this is "unconstitutional". Really? How could this be unconstitutional when it's completely legal to expect [and require] every working person to pass a drug test in order to get a job which supports those on welfare?
It's high time to give welfare assistance only to those who truly deserve it, not the habitual social parasites, who abuse and misuse the welfare system by wasting taxpayers' funds on their illegal drug habits. –Author Unknown
