50 Facts About The U.S. Economy That Will Shock You
“Even though most Americans have become very frustrated with this economy, the reality is that the vast majority of them still have no idea just how bad our economic decline has been or how much trouble we are going to be in if we don’t make dramatic changes immediately,” writes The Economic Collapse (TEC).
For those unfamiliar with this site, TEC is an economic blog that regularly compiles a comprehensive list of the most startling and unsettling facts about the U.S. economy.
Why? Because Americans need to understand that America’s economy is precariously balanced on the edge of full-blown collapse.
“If we do not educate the American people about how deathly ill the U.S. economy has become, then they will just keep falling for the same old lies that our politicians keep telling them. Just ‘tweaking’ things here and there is not going to fix this economy,” the site explains.
Indeed, America’s economic situation has become increasingly unstable. However, what’s arguably more disconcerting than the state of the U.S. economy is the fact many Americans are largely–if not completely–unaware of just how serious things have become. –Vision To America

Senior Cleric Calls On US To Apologize To Iran
The US should apologize for spying on Iran instead of asking for the return of its drone, Tehran’s provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said on Friday.
“According to the international rules, this has been an aggression against our country’s territorial integrity”, therefore, if Americans claim that the plane has come to Iran by mistake, “they should extend their apology” to Iran, Emami Kashani said during his second sermon on Tehran University Campus here today.
He said the aircraft is a spy drone and its flight in Iranian sky was an obvious crime.
“The demand on Iran to return this spy plane to the US is rooted in their (Americans’) arrogant nature and is a shameless and rude demand,” he said, and added, “They should apologize to the Islamic Republic of Iran and ask for the Iranian nation’s pardon.” -Vision To America

Census: U.S. Population Nears 313M
The United States will have 312.8 million people celebrating the start of 2012, according to a population projection released Thursday.
The total projected Jan. 1, 2012, population of the U.S. is 312,780,968, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates. That marks a .7 percent increase, or 2,250,129, from New Year’s Day 2011, and a 1.3 percent increase since Census Day, April 1, 2010.
And in January, one birth is expected every eight seconds in the U.S., while the census estimates one death will occur every 12 seconds. Net international migration, the census noted, will likely add one person to the U.S. population every 46 seconds in the coming month.
With births, deaths and migration, one person is expected to be added to the U.S. population every 17 seconds. –Politico

Sharia Law Deciding American Court Cases
“Shariah Law and American Courts: An Assessment of State Appellate Court Cases,” published by the Center for Security Policy, is one of the most comprehensive studies I have ever seen. It covers more than 600 pages of material. The following summary statement is shocking:
“Our findings suggest that Shariah law has entered into state court decisions, in conflict with the Constitution and state public policy. Some commentators have said there are no more than one or two cases of Shariah law in U.S. state court cases; yet we found 50 significant cases just from the small sample of appellate published cases. Others state with certainty that state court judges will always reject any foreign law, including Shariah law, when it conflicts with the Constitution or state public policy; yet we found 15 Trial Court cases, and 12 Appellate Court cases, where Shariah was found to be applicable in the case at bar. The facts are the facts: some judges are making decisions deferring to Shariah law even when those decisions conflict with Constitutional protections. This is a serious issue and should be a subject of public debate and engagement by policymakers.
Once these types of decisions made in American courts become part of published law they can be used as precedent law for future cases. Anyone entering an American court will be bound by decisions made by courts that appeal to these cases. –Vision To America
