Credit Card Scam

With the hard economic times, all kinds of scam artists are prowling and phishing . . . by phone, internet, regular mail, or other means to victimize some innocent and unsuspecting person. One of the credit card (Visa or Mastercard) scams going around is to get the victim's credit card's 3- or 4-digit security number!

WARNING:

The only time you should give any kind of information --- such as, your credit card number and/or 3- or 4-digit security number which is located on the backside of your credit card (the side where you normally put your signature) --- is when you yourself have initiated an official and legal business transaction, such as a telephone order or purchase, and you are charging it to your credit card.

Otherwise, NEVER give any kind of information to anyone over the telephone, the Internet, or any kind of correspondence!
