- one gets arrested for expired car license tags but not for being an illegal immigrant/resident;
- one needs a parent's signature to go on a school field trip but not to get an abortion;
- an 80-year-old woman is strip-searched by airport security but a woman in a burka is only subject to a neck and head search;
- the government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to increase the national debt ceiling and spend even more money that it does not have;
- a seven-year-old can be expelled from school for calling a teacher "cute" but to encourage sexual experimentation/exploration and handing out free condoms in grade school is perfectly acceptable;
- the nation's Supreme Court building's main door has the 10 commandments etched on it, but rules against the display of the 10 Commandments in public places;
- children are forcibly taken away from law-abiding parents who try use corporal punishment for discipline while undisciplined children of negligent drug addicts are allowed to remain at home;
- hardworking, law-abiding citizens are subject to higher taxes and more government control, while social parasites are pampered with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid, subsidized housing, and free cell phones;
- the nation's government's plan to solve unemployment is to provide an incentive not to work by giving 99 weeks of unemployment benefits at taxpayers' expense;
- self-sufficiency is considered a threat to government and society;
- politicians think that amending the country's Constitution is the way to protect citizens' rights;
- government control takes precedence over individual personal rights and self-sufficiency;
- while one pays mortgage faithfully and tries to live within one's means, a neighbor who defaults on his mortgage (while buying the latest iPhones, electronic gadgets and new cars) is entitled to debt forgiveness and can apply for government assistance all at taxpayers' expense;
- being stripped of the ability and means to defend one's self makes society "safer";
- anyone can write a post like this just by reading the newspaper headlines.
