A woman was arrested and charged with manslaughter for shooting a man six times on the back.
When asked in court to explain her action, the woman replied, "I am a waitress at a local cafe. Just before midnight, I was standing alone at the bus stop after work waiting for the bus. Since I am often at the bus stop alone at that late hour of the night, for my own protection, I have made it my habit to have my right hand on my pistol, which I always carry in my purse, and which I hang over my left shoulder. That particular night, all of a sudden some grabbed my purse and I was being spun around hard to my left. As I caught my balance, I saw a man running away with my purse. I looked down at my right hand and I saw that my fingers were wrapped tightly around my pistol. The next thing I remember is saying out loud, 'No way, you punk! You're not stealing my pay check and tips.' I then raised my right hand, pointed my pistol at the man, and squeezed the trigger six times!"
When asked by the judge why she shot the man six times, the woman answered, "Because when I pulled the trigger the seventh time, it only went click."
The woman was acquitted of all charges, and she is back at work at the cafe!
