The US news media ought to take lessons on proper newsreporting from Maxine, who speaks simply and clearly, and tells the unvarnished truth.Whether or not the quote below is really Maxine's does not really matter---but it sounds like Maxine. Don't you love her?

Is it just me or does anyone else find it amusing that during the mad cow disease epidemic our government could track a single cow born in Canada several years ago, and right down to the stall where she later slept in the State of Washington? And, the government also tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them [illegal aliens] a cow.

The government keeps talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we don't seem to be using it anymore.

The real reason that the ten commandments can't be posted in a public building---such as a courthouse--- is because: You cannot post 'Thou shalt not steal,' 'Thou shalt not commit adultery,' and 'Thou shalt not lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.
