Miss. California, Carrie PrejeanAs I have stated in my journal, I have no problems with Miss. Prejean's response to the same-sex marriage question. I too do NOT support same-sex marriage. Nonetheless, I do have a problem that this Miss. California lied and continues to lie about why she lost the Miss. America title, as well as about the now infamous nude photos.
What disturbs me more is her claim to be a "Christian" woman. Now what "Christian" woman would pose nude, as well as lie? This issue certainly confirms that in this day and age Christian's are allowed to live by a double standard, and that Miss. Prejean is the 21st century role model for what is fake and false about "Christian's". Guess Miss. Prejean doesn't believe in the following; " 'Do not steal. "Do not lie." 'Do not deceive one another ... " Leviticus 18: 22 NIV
Please do not take what I've said personally. In no way am I implying that all Christian's lie. I do have Friends who are and are not Believer's* that are honest at all cost and I trust completely. And I'm confident there are many other Believer's who are equally as honest. However, in today's world, lying has become so fashionable and is the first line of defense when caught in a questionable or compromising situation, specially when the obvious speaks for itself. No matter what, honesty is still the best policy!
*I do not like to label anyone a Christian since it's meaning implies Christ-like. No one in this world can ever claim this title. Plus, the word Christian is such a tainted title anymore that many are turned off by it's reference, thus I've replaced the word with Believer which I think better personifies an individuals relationship with Christ.
I think that all Christians are hypocrites. They seldom practice what they preach. And most could care less about anyone other than their own kind. If you don't believe the way they do, you simply don't belong and are damned to hell. Therefore, I have no use for Christians.
ReplyDeleteChristian?--LOL!!!! Yeah right! Satan's more of a Christian then Miss. Prejean! Tell you, she's one piece of work.
ReplyDeleteI CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE RACIER PICTURES OF A TRUE AND HONEST CHRISTIAN WOMAN-GAG!
ReplyDeleteI must admit I have not been following much about this story but getting bits and pieces here and there and did see some stuff on Larry King tonight. Having said that,I must respond to Jeff and others who think that all Christians are hypocrites and don't care about anyone but their own. I must HIGHLY tell you that you are wrong.. I am Christian. I am a Catholic and there are things I believe in my soul and try and live by. Who taught me? Jesus did...The source of Christianity.. This woman made a mistake as we all do. It may be offensive to some but we are all human and we all falter and fall. As Jesus once said to the crowd getting ready to stone to death the woman caught in adultery "He here who is without sin, cast the first stone".. As Christians we are obligated to look deeper inside a person than just their outward act.. I don't know whats in this womans heart. No one does, only God does. She is human like the rest of us. We ALL have done things in our past we wished we hadn't done but we are not or shouldn't be condemned for it.. And Jeff, as for not caring about anyone else but my own.. Wrong again.. I care for all people's. I live by Jesus' words " If you love one another, then they will know you're Mine"...Just because I may not agree with what someone does, or says or choices in life doesn't mean I dont love them. I don't have to like, their acts, choices or words but I love them anyway because, we are who we are and no one in this world is perfect. There was only one who was, is and always will be perfect and that's God.
